A Little History
Since my certification as a Personal Trainer in 2008, I have worked with clients ranging in age from their teens to their eighties, with widely diverse health and fitness goals. I’ve worked with students, athletes, housewives, heart patients, cancer survivors, grandparents, professors, CEOs and even a couple of local celebrities.
In 2012, I began studying for the advanced Health Coach certification through ACE. This new information caused me to redirect my focus primarily toward weight loss clients. As a newly certified Health Coach, I started putting what I’d learned into practice with my clients and that’s when I developed the very successful weight loss program that serves as the basis for my book, Reboot Your Body: Unlocking the Genetic Secrets to Permanent Weight Loss.
Around the same time, I also began writing for a number of health and wellness websites. I found that writing a book, meeting freelance deadlines, and keeping up a full client load was more than my schedule could handle, so I stopped training and coaching and spent the next two years focusing exclusively on writing. While I’ve enjoyed the rest, I’ve found that I really miss the one-on-one interaction with clients. Also, I’ve done a lot of jobs in my life and been pretty good at most of them, but the one thing I am great at is helping others live a healthier lifestyle. So, although I will continue working as a freelance writer, I’m also starting up my training and coaching practice again.
I love helping people change their lives for the better, and I truly believe that a healthy lifestyle is the only medicine we need. I consider myself a leader on the front lines battling the chronic diseases so prevalent in our society today. I believe that what I offer is nothing short of preventive medicine.
Current Services Offered
I offer in-home training, working with clients in the Twin Cities at their location, or virtually with anyone anywhere in the US. In order to deliver the kind of highly personal, engaged training that makes me so effective, I’ll be limiting the number of clients I work with at any one time to five.
“Highly personal service” means that I provide each client with a nutrition and exercise strategy that can accommodate their unique life circumstances while still achieving the desired wellness goals. Every training or coaching program I deliver is very specifically tailored to the individual, and can be customized to meet your specific wants, needs and wellness goals. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all training packages; I offer unique programs that get results.
I’m as selective about who I work with as you should be about the trainer you choose. Experience has taught me that a certain chemistry between coach and client is vital to achieving success, so we’ll both go through an interview and assessment process to make sure we’re a good fit for one another. I also require each client to sign a contract indicating that they are serious about the endeavor and willing to hold up their end of the bargain. Once those parameters have been met, I guarantee satisfaction with my services and my pricing is straightforward.
