Here in the Twin Cities, it finally feels like winter is coming to an end. Although I’d be surprised if we didn’t get at least one more snowstorm this season, this week’s warmer temperatures definitely have me thinking about spring, summer, and skimpier clothing. (At the very least, I think I can put away my snow pants until next November!)
To get ready for shorts and t-shirt season, I thought this would be a good time for an exercise challenge, so here it is: The Spring 20/20 Challenge!
Beginning tomorrow, March 12, anyone who wants to can join in by simply exercising for 20 minutes every day until the end of March. That’s 20 minutes of exercise for 20 days straight, 20/20 – get it?
If you want to join in with our public Facebook group, “At Least 20 Minutes Every Day,” then here is the link. Just click “Join” once you get there and our moderator, my friend, Donna, will approve you right away. Once you’re in, you simply go to that page once a day and post what you did for a workout. Donna has been managing this awesome public group for over a year and we have a growing membership. Thanks, Donna!
If you’d rather keep your progress to yourself, or if you don’t have a Facebook account, then here’s an old-school calendar you can print and cross off day-by-day.
It would be awesome if you’d check in periodically, or at the end of the challenge, with a photo of your completed calendar. You can upload photos in the comments section below.
This would also be a good opportunity to try out the goal setting/coaching app I wrote about in my last post. It’ll help keep you on track, for sure!
