I wanted to take a few moments to say thank you so much for making my transition from MNFitnessBlogger to Well Curated Life such a great success!
It was a little scary scrapping the work (and hundreds of thousands of words) I’d put into the old blog, but I felt strongly that it was time to look ahead and think bigger. So last spring, I spent several months working to create what I hoped would be an exciting new place where I could engage readers in the discussions they felt were important. Well Curated Life is the product of that labor.
While I know I will make more changes to the site in the coming year, I feel that the bones of it are solidly where I want them to be. Many of you helped form the content here, giving me suggestions and requests for blogpost topics and providing valuable feedback on the site’s functionality and design. I thank you for that!
I thought it might be interesting to share a few stats and fun facts with you from the site’s inaugural year:
First Post Published: Be Healthy, on June 11th (You might notice some older posts in the archives. Those were the best of the 2014 posts I brought over from MNFitnessBlogger.)
Number of Site Visits, June-December 2014: 3,475
Number of Unique Visitors, June-December 2014: 2,223
Most Popular Post: The Myth of Minimalism
Most Popular Fitness Post: The Secret to My Physique? Beer!
While I’m very happy with these numbers, I know that re-building a readership takes time and work. In 2015, of course I hope to grow my numbers exponentially. But I expect that will happen naturally as I continue to strive to engage readers on a deeper level, generating true conversations about the things that matter in their lives. Suggestions and requests for topics are always welcome, and if you’re a writer (established or aspiring) please send me a topic-appropriate guest post or two. If your role is that of faithful reader, then I owe you my deepest thanks and promise to work hard this year on giving you the kind of content that truly enriches your life.
Whatever your connection is, I hope you’ll join me in the coming year as we explore together what it truly means to live a Well Curated Life.
Happy New Year! May 2015 bring you health, happiness and prosperity.
